Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Hungarian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

Language requirements | English Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+ Intermediate command of English is required. Please note that all applicants need to participate in an online admission interview. During this interview, you’ll need to prove your language skills and the admission committee will make their admission decision based on this. If you don’t reach the necessary language level, you won’t be granted admission even if you have a previously obtained language certificate. Applicants who do not meet the minimum language requirements have to start their studies with an English Language Preparatory Program. |

Other requirements | A relevant portfolio is required. When applying to art programs, please make sure that you upload the following materials to Google Drive (or other file storage and synchronization service) and send the link in a pdf file (you can copy and paste the link to word document and save it as pdf): - Professional portfolio: please send us a portfolio of your past and recent works in the field of media design, including any or all of the following fields: – Drawings (handmade or digital) and/or technical images (photo series, computer graphics) maximum of 10 pieces, combined into a single pdf file. (handmade works are requierd to be scanned and included into the same file) – Sound design products, electronic music compositions, video artworks, motion graphic works, graphic design works, 2D and 3D digital artworks and/or animations (total duration of the compilation not exceeding 10 minutes), – Documentation of your media installations, webpage design works, software artworks, game design or mobile application works. – Theoretical contribution to the creative works and projects presented in the portfolio is optional, however short desctiptions of the submitted works are welcome. - Please include a statement testifying that you are the only author of all the works included in the portfolio. In case of collective works, please clearly indicate your personal contribution to the given project(s). - Motivation letter: introduce yourself and phrase a few thoughts about your application material (maximum one page). Please informs us about your educational background and the reasons of choosing to study Media Design BA at our institutio. - A narrative Curriculum Vitae in which you show us your educational background and highlight the most important events of your life. |

Overview
Media designers are the renaissance men of the 21st century. In the age of constant technological revolution their role is not only to follow, but to shape that with artistic sensibility: to make the new digital world modest for us, from the world wide web, through the post-production of films to game development.
The Media design programme refers to the teaching of such professionals who are able to recognize the technological challenges of our time.
